i129f process: Thailand US embassy packet 3 & 4

I129f process for Thailand US embassy

For K1 Visa fiance(e)’s in Thailand, after your US Petitioner gets and approval on the i129f it is sent to the the National Visa Center (NVC).  The NVC creates a case number for the K1 Visa petition and sends the case to a US Embassy in Thailand that is closest to the Thai beneficiary/applicant.

Once the US Embassy in Thailand receives the case, they will send out two consecutive letters/email messages to the beneficiary/applicant.  These are called Packet 3 & 4.  First they send out Packet 3 where they list all the requirements that the beneficiary/applicant needs to send to the US Embassy.  If something is missing from the list of requirements or the Consular Officer is not satisfied, they will request more information.

If everything is good with your Packet 3 requirements, you will receive a message (email/letter) for Packet 4.  Packet 4 contains an appointment schedule for an interview that also provides instruction on the remaining documents that you have to bring.  Below are the actual email samples that US embassy Thailand sends for the Packet 3 and 4.

What you see in PACKET 3?

The Packet 3 letter in Bangkok US embassy contains a copy of an approved i129f application form, letter of instruction from the embassy. You will also received an email from the embassy containing a website link for your packet 3 instruction.
